pricing Overview

If you would like to appreciate my work, but a specific piece seems out of reach, please reach out to me personally and I can see what I can do. To the right is an example of my 2022 pricing. Due to the high rate of inflation currently ocurring I’ve had to adjust my prices. They may continue to change at different points in the year if costs go up or if I am offering a sale. Almost every piece can be cropped and printed at a different size than is offered in the store so don’t hesitate to ask.

I believe in the accessibility of photography. I would my like my work to be viewable in any type of setting and therefore I don’t believe in the artificial inflation of prices. My prices are determined predominantly by the cost of goods and services. I print my work through external printers and I’ve tried to select printers that offer high quality product at somewhat discounted prices. Any increase from those raw printing costs either goes to supporting America’s National Parks (with my 5% for the Parks initiative), camera gear improvements, website hosting, incidental expenses, and costs that allow me to access the beautiful places I share with you.

Because photography is my passion and not my main profession, I would much rather break even and have a better interaction with my customers than be out of reach for those who want to bring a view of nature into their home.

Product Description

If you’re unfamiliar to photography or printing, then print options can be a confusing process. It definitely was for me when I was starting out. I offer three different types of "prints" (Photo Prints, Metal Prints, and Canvas Prints). This will better help you understand the offerings.

Photo prints

  • These are what you traditionally associate with photography. They are like the 4x6s you print out at your local photo center, but color accurate, UV resistant, and generally higher quality. They should not fade for a number of years. The image covers the entire paper (so there is no white border along the edge) and no framing is included. Please contact me if you’re interested in adding white borders or frames for an additional cost.

  • Lustre: This Fuji Lustre paper is more similar to your traditional photo. It’s more resistant to fingerprints and less reflective than glossy. The lightly textured surface has more color saturation and is slightly sharper than matte photos.

  • Metallic (Discontinued as of January 2023): Metallic paper is not available at this time. I’ll leave the description below for reference and in case the paper is back in stock at a later date. (This is the more vibrant/modern option printed on Kodak Metallic paper. It is usually recommended for landscape photos as it best displays color and has great contrast between highlights and shadows. It is quite glossy/shiny so it’s not ideal for areas that are exposed to a ton of bright light. If you are interested in metal prints, but don’t want to go full price I would recommend this.)

Metal Prints

  • In my opinion, this is the best way to display landscape photos. Yes, these are more expensive, but that’s because they don’t require frames and can be hung directly on the wall. Dyes are infused directly onto aluminum sheets that are both lightweight and sturdy. Colors are incredibly vibrant and if you get finger prints on them you can clean them as you would a window. They have a glossy finish that can have reflections in direct light. If you want the photo to look as close to what you see on your monitor as possible, select this option.

Canvas Prints

  • This is another sturdy "wall-art" way to display photos. They are printed directly on UV resistant canvas and then wrapped around a wood frame with 1.5" sides that is open with a wire hanger on back. At small sizes they are more expensive than metal prints, but can be printed incredibly large (like up to 40x60 if you’re really going for it, contact me for custom sizing). They are most similar to a matte finish on traditional photos, but have extra protection from scratches and other damage.
